Announcements July Testing Dates: July 9-13 Summer is upon us and there are a few students who will need to take a missing test or retake a failed test that is required by the State. See dates here. Seniors Google Apps Accounts will be Deleted  Seniors that have a WISD apps.wylieisd.net account on Google will need to make sure that you move your content from the account soon. On August 17th all accounts will be deleted. See attachment.Seniors Special Link - On the Left Side  Seniors and Parents of Seniors now have a special link on the left-hand side navigation bar. This is being updated up to twice each week. 2. Classes will be held at Wylie High School
3. June session will be June 5th-8th (Tuesday-Friday) week 1 and June 11th-June 28th (Monday-Thursday) Weeks 2-4
4. July session will be July 9th-August 2 (Monday-Thursday)
5. Online registration will open May 7th. WEHS Voluntary Accreditation 
Howdy Raiders,
Over the course of the next eight months, Wylie East High School will be undergoing a voluntary accreditation audit with AdancED. AdancED is the world's largest education community, serving more than 30,000 public and private schools from across the United States and can be found in more than 70 countries around the world. This process will culminate with an on-site visit from an accreditation team. The accreditation is a set of rigorous protocols and research-based processes for evaluating an institution's effectiveness.
As a stakeholder in WEHS, you play a vital role in this process. We are in the process of forming an AdvancED Committee that will be comprised of students, staff, parents, and community members. This committee will meet twice this spring and once in the fall. We are seeking eight parents to serve on the committee. If you would be willing to serve on this committee, please contact Christi Hannon at 972-429-3153. Remember it is a great day to be alive and a great day to a Raider! Mike Class of 2012 Graduation Date The WEHS graduation ceremony for the Class of 2012 will be at the Allen Event Center, June 2, 2012, at 6:00 p.m. What is STAAR Testing? The STAAR Q&As is available on the Student Assessment website at http://etesttx.com/STAARQandA. Questions and answers will be added as additional decisions are finalized. We hope that the Q&As will provide important information about STAAR and will assist parents, students, and schools in implementing the new assessment system in spring 2012.
